Step 1: Heat the oven to 180°C,160°C fan,gas 4. Heat all the olive oil (1 tbsp) in a large frying pan and cook the finely chopped large onion (1 large) for eight to ten minutes until softened.
Step 2: Add the crushed garlic clove (1), both tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (2 tbsp) and the two teaspoons meatloaf tomato purée to the softened onion. Stir to combine, then remove from the heat and let the prepared onion mixture cool before adding it to the raw turkey and egg.
Step 3: Put all the raw turkey mince (500 g), beaten large egg (1 large), fresh white breadcrumbs (85 g) and cooled onion mixture in a large bowl. Season with loaf salt and pepper to taste and mix thoroughly. Shape the complete mixture into one rectangular loaf in a large roasting tin.
Step 4: Spread the two tablespoons glaze barbecue sauce over the shaped loaf. Bake in the preheated oven for thirty minutes.
Step 5: While the loaf bakes, drain only one of the two 400 g cans of cooked cannellini beans. Put those drained beans and all the contents of the other can, including its liquid, into a bowl. Add the separate four tablespoons barbecue sauce and one tablespoon tomato purée for the beans.
Step 6: Season the prepared bean mixture with the separate bean salt and pepper to taste. Stir well and hold it ready until the loaf has completed its initial thirty-minute bake.
Step 7: After the meatloaf has baked for thirty minutes, scatter all the prepared bean mixture around it in the same tin. Bake for another fifteen minutes, continuing until the centre of the turkey loaf reaches 74°C and the beans are piping hot. Scatter over one to two tablespoons washed chopped parsley and serve the meatloaf sliced with its beans.
