Step 1: Cut the konjac (1) bar into two thin fillets.
Step 2: Score both sides of each fillet diagonally, about 5 mm apart.
Step 3: Cut each fillet in half lengthwise, then cut into 2 cm strips.
Step 4: Place all konjac pieces into a mixing bowl and sprinkle salt (1 tsp).
Step 6: Bring the 2 litres water to a boil in a saucepan over high heat, then add the salted konjac pieces.
Step 7: Cook the konjac for a few minutes.
Step 9: Wash Shishito Peppers (10) and make a small cut so that the shishito peppers will not burst when they are heated.
Step 10: Combine soy sauce (1 tbsp), mirin (1 tbsp), and sugar (1 tbsp) well altogether and set aside.
Step 11: Heat olive oil (1 tsp) and butter (10 g) in a frying pan over medium heat.
Step 12: Add finely chopped garlic (1 clove) into the frying pan.
Step 13: When the garlic is fragrant, add the well-drained konjac and shishito peppers into the frying pan
Step 14: Fry them for a few minutes.
Step 16: Stir them all together to coat the sauce.
Step 17: When the peppers are bright green and lightly blistered, transfer them to a plate, leaving the konjac and sauce in the pan.
Step 19: Turn off the heat and serve the konjac with the reserved cooked shishito peppers.
