Method4 steps · about 30 min

  1. Step 1: Peel the potatoes (1 kg) and grate them. Then, squeeze them properly to remove as much potato juice as possible.

    Uses 1 kg potatoes

  2. Step 2: Peel the onion (1) and chop it very finely.

    Uses 1 onion

  3. Step 3: Mix the grated potatoes with the chopped onion, eggs (2), salt (1 tsp) and flour. Grate in some pepper and nutmeg.

Uses 2 eggs · 120 g wheat flour · 1 tsp salt · pepper · nutmeg · 1 kg potatoes peeled, grated and squeezed dry · one onion finely chopped

  4. Step 4: Heat the sunflower oil in a large pan. Spoon portions of the potato mixture into the pan and flatten into pancakes, leaving space between them. Fry in batches, turning, until golden on both sides and cooked through. Keep the fried pancakes warm while cooking the remaining mixture.

Uses sunflower oil (or any other neutral-tasting oil for frying) · grated potatoes and onion mixed with eggs, 120 g flour and seasoning
