  1. Step 1: Rinse the strawberries and blueberries (1.5 cups) before removing the stems from the strawberries. Cut the strawberries in half.

Uses 2 heaping cups whole strawberries · 1.5 cups blueberries

  2. Step 2: Add the berries to a medium pot, then add the sugar (1 cup), lemon zest, and lemon juice. Stir everything to combine using a big wooden spoon.

Uses Rinsed blueberries and stemmed halved strawberries · 1 cup granulated sugar · Zest of 1 lemon · Juice of 1/2 lemon

  3. Step 3: Turn on the stove to medium high heat and let the mixture start to bubble. Give everything a stir again then lower the heat to medium low or as low as you can go while still keeping the mixture slightly simmering.

Uses Berries, sugar, lemon zest and juice

  4. Step 4: Let the jam simmer for 40 to 45 minutes, giving it a stir occasionally. Once the liquid has reduced tremendously, to the point where you can easily see the bottom of the pot when running your wooden spoon through the mixture, turn off the stove.
