Step 1: Put the lime (½) wedges and either 1–2 tablespoons refined sugar or 1 shot of Skinny Simple Syrup in a cocktail glass.
Step 2: Muddle with a pestle or the back of a spoon until the lime releases its juice and the sugar is moistened. If using simple syrup instead, gently press the lime to release its juice.
Step 3: Fill the glass with crushed ice.
Step 4: Add one standard shot (1.5 fluid ounces) of cachaça and stir well to combine.
Step 5: Serve immediately.
