Method3 steps · about 45 min
Step 1: Boil the sweet potatoes (500 g) in water for about 15 minutes, until fully tender. Drain, peel and mash.
Step 2: Combine the mashed sweet potatoes with the flour (3/4 cup) and granulated sugar (4 tbsp). Add 1–2 tbsp water as needed and mix until the dough comes together without sticking to your hands.
Step 3: Roll the dough into small, evenly sized balls and coat them with white sesame seeds (3 tbsp). Heat 5–7 cm (2–3 inches) of oil in a deep pan and fry in batches until golden. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
