Step 1: Start with fully cooked small Menchi Katsu, ready-cooked rice (1 cup) and prepared, cooled snow-pea salad and pickled celery. Pack the cup of warm cooked rice in the rice section of a clean bento box and let steam escape briefly while arranging the other dishes.
Step 2: Line the main compartment with washed, dried shredded lettuce. Put both fully cooked, cooled small beef-and-pork cutlets on the lettuce, leaving some leaves visible around them.
Step 3: Put all one-fifth cup prepared snow-pea salad in one food-safe liner and the heaped tablespoon prepared pickled celery in a second liner. Keep their liquids separated.
Step 4: Fit the two filled side-dish cups beside the cooked cutlets, filling the available space without mixing their dressings into the crumbs.
Step 5: Put the two washed tomatoes on the lettuce. Pack the prepared Menchi Katsu sauce in a separate small sealed food-safe container and add it to the cutlets only when eating. Eat promptly, or refrigerate promptly and keep chilled with ice packs during transport until lunch.
