Method10 steps · about 40 min

  1. Step 1: Heat the 3 tbsp cooking oil in a large wok over medium heat. Add the 1/2 tbsp minced garlic and chopped onion (1) and sauté until softened and fragrant.

Uses 3 tbsp cooking oil · 1/2 tbsp minced garlic · 1 onion, chopped

  2. Step 2: Add the 1/2 lb thinly sliced raw pork belly and cook, turning, until light brown on the outside. The pork will finish cooking in the sauce.

Uses Softened garlic and onion in oil · 1/2 lb raw pork belly, thinly sliced

  3. Step 3: Pour in the 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce and 4 cups sauce water. Bring to a boil, cover and lower to a gentle simmer for about 20 minutes, until the pork is tender and cooked through. Add a little additional water only if needed to prevent the pork from cooking dry.

Simmer pork until tender · 20 minUses Lightly browned pork and aromatics · 1/4 cup soy sauce · 2 tbsp oyster sauce · 4 cups water for sauce · Additional water, only as needed

  4. Step 4: Dissolve the 1 Maggi Magic Chicken Cube in the hot sauce. Add the 1 cup sliced carrot and the chopped half small cabbage. Stir and simmer for 1 minute to begin softening the vegetables.

Soften vegetables in sauce · 1 minUses Tender pork in hot sauce · 1 Maggi Magic Chicken Cube · 1 cup carrot, thinly sliced or julienned · 1/2 small cabbage, chopped

  5. Step 5: Add both dry noodle supplies: 1/2 lb pancit bihon and 1/2 lb pancit canton. Keep them in contact with the gently bubbling sauce, turning them carefully as they soften. Continue until both types are tender enough to toss. Add water gradually only if needed; the noodles should absorb the sauce without swimming in excess liquid.

Uses Pork, vegetables and hot seasoned sauce · 1/2 lb dry pancit bihon rice noodles · 1/2 lb dry pancit canton egg-wheat noodles · Additional water, only as needed

  6. Step 6: Gently toss the softened noodles, pork and vegetables together until evenly distributed. Keep the strands intact and continue only until both noodle types are cooked to the desired texture.
