Step 1: Whisk all two tablespoons soy sauce, two tablespoons Japanese cooking sake and four tablespoons honey together in a bowl until the actual honey-teriyaki glaze is well blended. Keep the sesame seeds separately for the final garnish.
Step 2: Check the one-pound salmon (1 lb) for pin bones and remove them, then cut it into two pieces. Put both actual salmon pieces into the actual prepared glaze and turn to coat them evenly.
Step 3: Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and add the tablespoon olive oil (1 tablespoon). Add both actual glaze-coated salmon pieces and their actual glaze. Pan-fry the fish on both sides until cooked through, at least 63°C / 145°F in the thickest flesh or opaque and flaking easily, and until the actual glaze is bubbling and thickened. Keep the heat gentle so the honey does not scorch, continuing as needed for the actual fish thickness.
Step 4: Garnish both actual cooked salmon pieces with the separate white sesame seeds and spoon over their actual cooked thickened glaze. Divide the complete one-pound cooked fish into three portions and serve immediately.
