Step 2: Combine ½ cup each light corn syrup, dark corn syrup (1/2 cup), white sugar (1/2 cup) and dark brown sugar (1/2 cup) with ⅛ tsp salt.
Step 3: Stir the syrup-and-sugar mixture until combined.
Step 4: Stir in 1 tsp Mexican vanilla extract.
Step 5: Mix 1 tbsp all-purpose flour into ¼ cup melted butter, then stir that mixture into the prepared syrup.
Step 6: Stir until the filling base is evenly combined.
Step 7: Add 3 slightly beaten eggs.
Step 8: Mix the eggs thoroughly into the filling, then pour into the ready unbaked pie crust.
Step 9: Scatter 1–1½ cups toasted chopped pecans over the filling.
Step 10: Bake for 30–45 minutes, until the center reaches 160°F /71°C and the filling is set with a slight jiggle. Let the pie cool completely and set before cutting; refrigerate the cooled pie.
