  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking dish.

  2. Step 2: Tear the buns into pieces, and combine with onion, celery (2 stalks), sage, salt (1 teaspoon), and pepper in a bowl. Lightly stir in the egg (1) and 1/2 cup of chicken broth, and mix gently until thoroughly combined but not mushy.

Uses 8 hamburger buns · 1 white onion, chopped · 2 stalks celery, chopped · 2 teaspoons rubbed sage, or to taste · 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste · 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste · 1 beaten egg · ½ cup chicken broth

  3. Step 3: Slice each pork chop through the side to make a pocket. Stuff the pocket of the pork chop with stuffing mixture, and place into the prepared baking dish. Pour 1 cup of chicken broth between the pork chops into the dish without pouring it on top of the chops.

Uses 4 thick cut pork chops · 1 cup chicken broth, or as needed · bread stuffing

  4. Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven, beginning to check after about 35 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to check both the thickest part of each pork chop and the center of its stuffing: the pork must reach at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), and the stuffing must reach 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Continue baking until both endpoints are reached, then let the chops rest for at least 3 minutes before serving.
