Method3 steps · about 5 min

  1. Step 1: Put the 1 tbsp mirin in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered for 50 seconds at 500 W, then let it cool slightly before mixing the dressing.

    Uses 1 tbsp mirin

  2. Step 2: Add the 4 tbsp ponzu, 1 tsp ground sesame seeds and 1 tsp prepared wasabi paste to the slightly cooled mirin. Whisk until the wasabi is evenly dispersed. Slowly drizzle in the ½ tbsp olive oil and ½ tbsp toasted sesame oil while whisking vigorously until emulsified. A milk frother or shaking the mixture in a sealed dressing jar also works.

Uses Heated mirin, slightly cooled · 4 tbsp ready fish-containing ponzu sauce · 1 tsp ground sesame seeds · 1 tsp prepared wasabi paste · ½ tbsp olive oil · ½ tbsp toasted sesame oil

  3. Step 3: Pour as much dressing as desired over your chosen salad and serve immediately. Keep any unused dressing in an airtight container in the fridge and use within 2 weeks. Whisk or shake again before pouring if it separates. Keep refrigerated; do not freeze.
