Step 1: Make small slits on both sides of both cleaned whole tilapia (2). Spread all 1 tsp salt over the two fish, then brush or rub all 1½ tsp cooking oil over them. These are the total salt and oil allowances for both fish.
Step 2: Set the air fryer to 350°F (about 175°C). Place the prepared tilapia in the basket without overlapping and air-fry the first side for 10 minutes. If both fish do not fit, cook them in batches using the same prepared two-fish supply.
Step 3: Carefully turn the same tilapia and air-fry the other side at 350°F (about 175°C) for another 10 minutes. Check that the thickest flesh is opaque and reaches 145°F (63°C) for at least 15 seconds; cook longer if needed. Move the cooked fish to a clean plate while you begin the soup. Repeat both sides for any remaining prepared fish, without adding a second allowance of salt or oil.
Step 4: Pour the selected 6–8 cups water into a large cooking pot. Bring the water to a boil, then lower the heat briefly before adding the soup vegetables.
Step 5: Add the whole allowance of 1 wedged yellow onion, 2 wedged tomatoes, 6 oz sliced daikon radish and ¼ cup miso to the hot water. Stir the miso into the broth and bring the pot back to a boil.
Step 6: Carefully lower both cooked air-fried tilapia into the soup. When the broth returns to a boil, cook for 2 minutes, handling the fish gently so it stays intact.
Step 7: Add all 40 g Knorr Sinigang sa Sampaloc recipe mix to the soup. Stir gently through the broth until the mix dissolves, taking care not to break the cooked fish.
Step 8: Add all 8 okra and 4 long green chilies. Cover and cook over medium heat at a controlled simmer for about 5 minutes, until the vegetables begin to soften.
Step 9: Add the entire bunch of mustard leaves (1 bunch) and all ½ tsp ground black pepper. Taste the broth and add fish sauce to taste, with no fixed dose. Cover and simmer for 3 minutes, until the greens are tender and the okra and daikon are cooked to your liking; continue gently if needed.
Step 10: Transfer the finished fish sinigang and vegetables to a serving bowl. Share the soup and the two fish among 4 people, taking care with the whole-fish bones. Serve with separately prepared warm cooked rice if desired.
Step 11: Serve the soup promptly while hot. Refrigerate leftovers promptly in covered containers and reheat thoroughly to 165°F (74°C) before eating. Remove any fish bones carefully as you portion and eat.
